Abilan, Buenavista – Top students of the twelve (12) schools division exhibited their wits and talents in the regional population quiz and POPDEV on-the-spot contests (Debate; Poster-Making; Jingle Writing & Singing; and Kasaysayan, Heograpiya at Kultura ng Pilipinas Quiz). City schools division once again outshine rivals during the Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) held at Tandag City.

The said contests were open to all junior and senior high schools within the region; except for the KAHEKU Quiz and Poster-Making contest, for these were open only to elementary schools. The participants of the RFOT were Division First Place winners of the different areas with corresponding coaches and division coordinators/supervisors.

Meanwhile, the following were adjudged as winners on different categories:

According to POPCOM Caraga, the regional champions of the five skills exhibition will represent Caraga to the national contests in February 2020.

The festival of talents is an innovative way to reach young people and involve them in the advocacy while showcasing their skills and talents. Said event is conducted yearly by POPCOM in collaboration with the Department of Education, to reinforce their continuing advocacy for responsible sexuality and healthy lifestyle, and increase awareness and appreciation on population issues and concerns among young people.

Each Champion received plaque, cash prize and medal from the organizing government agencies.
