The Commission on Population and Development Caraga Region presents Kaunlarang Pantao (KP) Awards to population offices and workers of Local Government Unit (LGU) to recognize their outstanding performances and significant contribution to the Philippine Population Management Program (PPMP).
RD Alexander A. Makinano emphasized the population officers, workers, and volunteers’ efforts to the implementation of the three strategic components of the Philippine Population Management Program should be recognized. Finally, RD Makinano added that population workers and volunteers play vital role in the communities for they are the frontliners in the implementation of the core programs of PPMP namely, Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RP-FP), Adolescent Health and Development (AHD), and Population and Development (POPDEV).
The KP awards has major categories: Provincial Population Officers and Workers/City Population Officers and Workers, Provincial Population Office/City Population Office /Municipal Population Office, Outstanding Municipal Population Worker/City Population Worker, and Outstanding Barangay Population Volunteer.
The award eyes the Population Office of LGUs with at least three years before the validation in November 2020. The first place of each level will receive a cash prize of 80,000.00 for the Province, 60,000.00 for the City, and 25,000.00 for the Municipal respectively.
On the other hand, the Population Officer/Worker must have three years of continuous service and dedication to the program. The winners will receive a cash prize of 20,000.00 for the Provincial Population Officer (PPO) and 15,000.00 for the City Population Officer (CPO) plus a plaque of appreciation and the honor to represent the National Kaunlarang Pantao Search. Second and Third placers will also receive a corresponding cash prize and a plaque.
However, at least two years of continuous service and dedication to the program are required for the Outstanding Municipal/City Population Workers, The winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000.00.
Finally, the Outstanding Barangay Population Volunteers (BPV) shall possess at least one year of continuous service and dedication to the program with a written appointment or certification whose work focuses on family planning and population. The winner will receive a cash prize worth ₱6,000.00
All entries and nominees shall submit their means and verification or documents before October 15, 2020. Announcing and awarding of winners will be in November 2020.
